Guvnor Films Bad Reception The Carny Kid The Crooked House Meet The Guvnor

Bad Reception is the first movie by English writer/director Mark A. Todd.

The film is an ambitious project shot in 26 days, with key locations in: Burbank, Hollywood and El Mirage (Mojave Desert). Director of Photography, Andrew (Drew) Aiello, battled  incredibly demanding conditions to create an intense atmosphere for a suspenseful supernatural thriller.

The wonderful and talented cast (IMDB) were complimented by the skills of many industry professionals in FX and post production such as:

Panasonic’s P2 technology enabled the film to move quickly from production to post-production, which began in April 2008, and ran for 6 months.

Working purely in the digital domain, the 200 digital effects used in the film were created by a small team of digital artists

using After Effects.

The sound mix for Bad Reception was completed using ProTools.

The making of Bad Reception was a very ‘green’ process. Captured on a digital format, the film remained in the digital domain until completion, when it was laid off to DVDs for film markets.
